We all work hard for many years and retirement is supposed to be something that we look forward to; put our feet up a bit, travel the World and work on completing our bucket list. Unfortunately, this does cost a lot of money and few of us are financially secure enough to be able to afford it. If you have ever had a salesman from a retirement fund discuss this with you, you will probably end up feeling extremely concerned about retirement.
The salesman will tell you that you need X amount of dollars / pounds / whatever your currency is and that the only way you will be able to afford it is to put more money into your retirement fund while you are still earning. If we do that, there will be less money for the day to day things that we need. Like kids education, holidays, a new car every few years – you get the picture.
Can you relate to this? I came to this realisation a while ago and I am now pursuing a career as an online entrepreneur in the field of digital marketing. This offers me a career that is really fulfilling, I can earn a healthy income, work from anywhere that there is an internet connection and work the hours that suit me.
