Lifestyle Upgrades: How To Ensure You Follow Through On Your Goals

I’ve noticed a few changes in the last couple of months because of the actions I took just before the New Year.

I just want to share what I’ve done to give you some idea of how these small actions can make a huge difference in your life.

And by taking this approach, it will enable you to improve your life step-by-step.

Everyone wants to have an instant result, but in reality, that doesn’t happen. Unfortunately, there’s no magic we can do where everything suddenly becomes fantastic. It takes time. Especially when it comes to our mind and our focus.

Before the New Year, I wrote down some goals for the year in a few different areas of my life.

One of them was a business goal, one a relationship goal, five in total. Every morning I read them and that only takes me a couple of minutes as part of my morning routine.

Doing that reminds me, and reading it out loud reminds my subconscious of what my goals are.

Otherwise, you tend to write a goal down and then just forget it. Maybe remembering once a week but not following through.

Since then I’ve noticed some big differences. No massive step change but if I think back to where I was a couple of months ago, things have definitely improved a lot in my relationships, in my business, and in other areas too.

Obviously there’s a way to go, but I’m pretty sure that if I hadn’t written them down and I hadn’t been reading them to myself out loud every day, I wouldn’t be in this situation, and feeling like a winner.

And that’s something you really need to do if you want to reach your goals.

If you’ve done your goals already for this year, make sure you read them to yourself every day. It doesn’t take long and it is time well spent.

And if you haven’t made any goals yet, then get busy and write some. It is never too late.

Pick the different areas of your life, ones that are really important to you and write a SMART goal for each area – Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Timely.

And then read it to yourself every day, and you’ll be amazed at how much of a difference it will make to your life.

You’ll look back in six months and marvel at how far you have come.
