I am sure that you are aware of what affirmations are and how effective they can be in creating a better you, and a better life.
But there can be an issue with telling yourself something that your subconscious does not believe.
For instance, let’s say that you keep telling yourself that you are a millionaire. If you have been bought up with a scarcity mindset and have believed all your life that money is hard to come by, your subconscious will just say “No, no you’re not”.
The same thing applies if you have struggled all of your life with being overweight. No matter how much you tell yourself that you have a slim body, your subconscious may just disagree.
Take the money example. Ask yourself why you are going to become a millionaire and then write down 5 compelling reasons. Like studying successful people, reading books, etc.
Similarly, for the weight-loss example, ask yourself why you are slim and give 5 great reasons. Examples here might be that you are going for a walk every day or you are joining a gym and are dedicated to going 3 days a week.
This extra step will allow your subconscious to accept your change in state and you will find that you can move towards your goal with significantly less resistance.
Now that has to be a good thing ๐
Dream big and take action ๐
