Lifestyle Upgrades: What Is The Source of Your True Happiness?

You may have a number of goals in your life but they should all have one main intention. Your happiness.

Now, there are 3 possible ways to achieve this aim: Being, Doing and Having.

Our society seems very heavily centered around the ‘having’. Buy this car or this house and you will feel fantastic and you will be happy forever.

But in the real world, that joy is only short-lived.

This is easily shown in the large number of lottery winners or celebrities that have all the money they need to be happy but blow it all and end up where they started, or worse. And unhappy.

If you are like me, you live in ‘Western Civilisation’ or a ‘First World” country where it has never been easier to have all of the necessities for a comfortable life; food, shelter and clothing. And plenty more besides.

So if ‘having’ was the solution to happiness, we would, in general, be a very happy society.

But we are not, far from it.

This is where we need to look at ‘being’. If you can be happy where you are right now, you are set.

If you are not happy in your current state of ‘being’, the chances are that you will never be happy. When you get the things that you are after and the short-term happiness has subsided, you will be craving the next thing.

If you can change your perspective so that you are happy now, when you do get that thing you are wanting, you will still be happy because you are not relying on that thing for your happiness.

For instance, if my goal is to have a successful online business to make me happy, the chances are that when I reach that goal, there will be another business goal that I will want to have to make me happy, like creating more income streams or wanting to scale the business up still further.

Reaching that goal will still leave me feeling empty and unfulfilled.

But if I changed my goal to becoming a successful business owner who provides great service to all of my members and help others change their lives, I can be that person right now and I can work on getting better at that goal.

And as for the ‘doing’ part, well that is just taking action towards your ‘being’ goals.

So I recommend that you look at your goals to see if they are ‘having’ goals or ‘being’ goals and reshape the ‘having’ goals to allow you to be happy in the now.

One great way to do this is to practice gratitude.

Be thankful for all that you have, from your health to your freedom to your friends and family and so on.

Being grateful for what you have does not mean that you will lose the drive for wanting more, it is actually the opposite.

By wanting more while being grateful for what you currently have, you will be able to help more people or server others better.

Go live a grateful and happy life NOW ๐Ÿ™‚

Dream big and take action ๐Ÿ‘
